A Look at Cybersecurity
If you are anything like me, your schedule is busy. You are only able to engage in things which need to be done right away or which help the financial position of your organization. I get it. So, while the topics of fundraising or communications or strategic planning are key, the topic of cybersecurity may not be something that is overly important to you. Yet, in this day and age, it needs to be something we talk about and discuss.
We’ve all seen what has been happening with Facebook and Congress in recent days. And it's hard to miss the news reports of data breaches at major institutions, if not careful a security breach can affect your entire organization as well. One breach of security will require you to spend many more hours addressing and fixing problems than if you had just implemented proactive mechanisms in advance. It's a PR nightmare, not to mention a hit to donor confidence that none of us can afford.
For these reasons and more we wanted to bring in a speaker to talk to us on the latest in the field of cybersecurity. Holly Boullion is an expert with years of experience in helping organizations protect themselves from the latest threats. She's going to look at:
- What are some simple, practical steps your organization should be doing to protect you from this?
- What are the current things you need to be paying attention to?
- What are important takeaways we can glean from news reports we see regarding the mistakes and attacks at larger companies.
Would you be able to join us for an hour as we talk and wrestle on this subject? Let’s learn together about how to protect ourselves from a big issue that we all have to deal with.
Join us via Zoom Conference to learn from cybersecurity expert, Holly Boullion.
